Primetime

Primetime's action costume
Real Name: Primetime
Alias: William Teach
Group Affiliation: MADCAP
Appearance: In his William Teach persona Primetime is a six feet tall, handsome, dark-haired man with an infectious smile and the body of an athlete who trains intensively. As Primetime, he wears a black flowing shirt, a vest with gold and black trims, a golden sash under his brown leather belt, black ankle-length pants and black pirate boots. His fingerless gloves are red, and his half-face mask is red.

Personality: Primetime is usually the most violence-prone member of MADCAP. He doesn’t want to cancel or seriously injure anyone — after all, he’s in this to recruit for Mojo's productions — but he has no objection to administering a good beating to his enemies. He particularly likes to defeat other super-powered martial artists, to prove he’s better than they are.

Primetime has a borderline bipolar personality disorder. Most of the time, he’s cheerful, or at least neutral, but a sustained run of failures or bad luck plunges him into a deep, dark depression from which it may take him a long time to recover. This doesn’t affect his job or combat abilities most of the time.

In his civilian form, Primetime is something of a skirtchaser. He doesn’t hit on his teammates, since that could make things awkward, but he’s not above making a pass at a superheroine who catches his eye.

Powers: In addition to being able to teleport himself, Primetime also has a limited power to open “teleportation gates” through which other people can travel. His gates are not a continuous-effect phenomenon; he can only keep one open for a second or two, just long enough for someone to use it. Through diligent practice, he’s increased his ability to the point where he can move someone as heavy as Mojo through his gate; in the future he hopes to extend the gate’s range and duration. He cannot teleport to other dimensions. His gates are limited to the plane of existence he's on.

Primetime is a hand-to-hand combatant; he has no ranged attacks. His above human norm strength gives him punching power and makes it easy for him to immobilize most opponents with his hold or joint lock maneuvers. Especially when armed with his belaying pin. He’s become adept at using his teleportation in conjunction with his fighting skills, often making a short teleport right behind or next to someone to surprise them. On the other hand, his metabolism cannot tolerate having other people teleport him; this causes him severe pain.

Martial Arts style used: Aikijutsu (Manuevers: Dodging attacks, Escaping holds, Performing Holds where two limbs are grabbed, Performing joint locks, Throws via grabbing one-limb and targeting falls, Redirecting attacks, Strikes with fist or club, Missile deflection with club)

Strong Runner: Moves faster than human norms but not at superspeeds.
Strong Leaper: Leaps beyond human norms (10' forward, 5' upward from standstill)

Skills: Acrobatics, Acting, Breakfall, Knowledge: Baseball, Knowledge: The Martial World, Knowledge: Superhero World, Stealth, Teamwork

Disadvantages: Watched by Mojo and Spiral, Psychological Limitation: Code Versus Killing, Rivalry: Aiden Blaire, Rivalry: Professional (with other superpowered martial artists, to prove his superiority), Social Limitation: Secret Identity (William Teach), Susceptibility to being teleported by others (takes damage instantly)

Ingenue

Ingenue's action costume
Real Name: Ingenue
Alias: Hikaru Hamasaki
Group Affiliation: MADCAP

Appearance: In her Hikaru Hamasaki persona, Ingenue is a young woman of remarkable beauty; she could easily become a model, or an actress, if she wanted to. Her long raven black, dark eyes, flawless skin, and curvy figure aren’t soon forgotten by those who see her. As Ingenue, she wears a sleeveless, white leather costume with the alchemical symbol for air on it dark blue. Her combat uniform is meant to distract people with her body as her face is covered partially with a mask.

Personality: The first impression Ingenue gives is a good one — she seems smart, reasonably friendly, and self-confident. Get to know her a little better, however, and her true personality emerges. Self-assured to the point of arrogance, and completely disdainful of those around her, she thinks nothing of manipulating others (especially males) as she sees fit. To her, they’re just toys to keep her amused... until she decides to break them. The only person she truly seems to love and respect is Aiden Blaire, though she does enjoy having entertainment and superhero discussions with Primetime.

Powers: Ingenue has learned how to alter the flow of air in her immediate vicinity to achieve many different effects. She can fly at over 500 miles per hour, create mini-tornadoes and more focused wind-blasts, suck all the air out of someone’s lungs, or use the wind to pick up and move objects. In combat, she prefers to use her Wind Blast or Wind Gust, though if she starts to tire she’ll switch to attacks that aren’t so strenuous. If she knows an opponent can take it, she may pick him up with her 'telekinesis,' carry him along at a high rate of speed with her flight abilities, and then let him go so he slams into something hard.

Wind Attacks: Wind Blast (like energy attack, single target, double knockback distance), Wind Gust (like energy attack, area effected—45' cone), Tornado Blast (like energy attack, area effected—20' Radius, random direction of knockback), Out Of Air (removes air from immediate vicinity of target), Wind Manipulation (telekinesis—strength equivalent to lifting 1.5 tons)

Wind Powers: Air Travel (flight, rapid non-combat movement, combat acceleration/deceleration), Fire Starvation (dispel fire), Air Shield (mid-strength force field), Life Support (self-contained breathing), Sense Air-Currents (spatial awareness)

Skills: Acrobatics, Acting, Breakfall, Climbing, Knowledge: The Superhero World, Knowledge: Meteorology, Language: Japanese, Stealth, Streetwise

Disadvantages: Watched by Mojo and Spiral, Overconfident, Psychological Limitation: Code Versus Killing, Psychological Limitation: Actually In Love With Aiden Blaire And Jealous Of His Attention, Rivalry: Angel Wagner, Social Limitation: Secret Identity (Hikaru Hamasaki)

Fade Out

Fade Out's action costume
Real Name: Fade Out
Alias: Eugenie 'Gene' Wilkes
Group Affiliation: MADCAP
Appearance: In her civilian identity, Fade Out is a young brunette woman, about 5'3" and 110 lbs., more cute than beautiful. She does not try to look more noticeable as she prefers working in the background. She wears a jumpsuit colored to match her eyes, with a short black jacket over it and a half-mask that covers her face but not her hair.

Personality: Fade Out commits to MADCAP plans to bolster her own self-esteem. Though she puts up a bold front, she's a mass of insecurity deep inside and desperately needs to feel important and special. She gets that two ways. First, finding out about other's secrets. Second, by being an essential part of the plan to break apart Angel and Aiden. Both satisfy the need extremely well. Especially as she plans to be in the friend role for Angel and being a shoulder the broken-hearted fuzzy girl will cry on.

Fade Out enjoys matching wits with the police and superheroes, particularly when she can publicly humiliate them. She likes to create panics and chaos in crowds, though she is a bit squeamish about using violence directly herself against non-combatants. She has no such compunctions about anyone who would try to stop or capture her.

When she is walking around as Eugenie, Fade Out has a light Southern accent and claims she is from San Antonio, Texas. She actually does not know a thing about the city except where it is located. She tries to bluff her way through anyone asking about her background.

Powers: Fade Out is a psionic with the power to steal her victim's memories for herself telepathically. This can be any sort of memory, from a specific fact or event to something as subtle as the existence of a skill or power (or how to use it). She can only steal one particular memory from a person at a time. For example, she could make Aiden forget that he can turn invisible, but not all his superpowers. Also, the victim can heal back the memory within in a day, but he can also get the memory back instantly if he's somehow reminded of what he forgot. This can be as simple as a teammate saying "Hey, turn invisible!" (if Fade Out stolen the memory of its existence), or seeing the combination lock whose combination is the memory she stole.

While memory loss/theft makes Fade Out a formidable opponent, it's not much help in a straight-up fight, and she knows it. She has a couple other powers (crippling confusion and mental agony attacks) she can use in a pinch, but they're of relatively little use do to their tiring effects and other restrictions. She tends to fight from the rear, coming up with plans for the team and mentally sniping from cover whenever possible. She's fond of causing targets to simply forget the last few seconds (her crippling confusion) – while they're temporarily stunned and without their bearings, Primetime or Ingenue can attack them. As a last resort, she carries a laser blaster given to her by Propsmaster and isn't afraid to use it.

Skills: Acting, Breakfall, Climbing, Concealment, Area Knowledge: Mojoworld, Lockpicking, Stealth, Streetwise, Survival (Urban), Weapon Use Knowledge: Hand blasters

Disadvantages: Watched by Mojo and Spiral, Psychological Limitation: Insatiable Curiousity About Others’ Secrets, Social Limitation: Secret Identity (Eugenie Wilkes), Psychological Limitation: Likes to Create Terror and Chaos
